Welcome! I’m Joelle Curtis Wright, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of Evergreen Insights Therapy. I’m so glad you’re here.
Whether you’re exploring therapy for the first time or simply wanting to learn more about me and my work, your presence here matters. As Joelle Curtis Wright, I believe even curiosity about growth is a meaningful first step.
Evergreen trees stay rooted, resilient, and thriving through every season. That image is the heart behind Evergreen Insights Therapy and the work I do as Joelle Curtis Wright. Life brings change, uncertainty, grief, joy, growth, and new beginnings — often all at once. I believe people are capable of deep healing and transformation when given steady, compassionate support.
A Little More About Me – Joelle Curtis Wright
Growing up, I was a tomboy who loved being outside. I’ve always felt most grounded in nature — running, hiking, walking the dog, or simply breathing fresh air.
I played lacrosse in high school and college which taught me a lot about myself. Running is still something I return to as a coping technique. I’ve always loved animals. I used to paint with oils (and hope to return to that creative outlet someday). I can play the guitar and genuinely enjoy it — when I make the time.
These parts of me matter. They remind me that growth isn’t just clinical — it’s creative, embodied, relational, and lived.
My path toward becoming Joelle Curtis Wright, LMFT, was also deeply personal. I experienced several mental health challenges within my family and extended family growing up. Witnessing both struggle and resilience shaped me profoundly. It stirred a desire to understand people more deeply, to study psychology, and eventually to become a marriage and family therapist.
That decision was not abstract. It was rooted in lived experience.
Today, I’m married to my best friend. We love playing board and card games together. We enjoy daily walks as a family (this includes our dog). And we are new parents to our sweet daughter — a role that has reshaped me in the most meaningful ways. Motherhood has taught me more about humility, patience, love, and growth than any textbook ever could.
Being a mom is my highest priority. It’s also deepened my empathy as Joelle Curtis Wright, therapist. I understand more fully now how layered identity can be — how we hold multiple roles at once, and how easy it is to lose ourselves inside of them.
My Approach to Therapy
As Joelle Curtis Wright, I believe therapy is not about “fixing” you — because you are not broken. We are all simply a work in progress. That's something that won't ever change which I think is beautiful and exciting. I look forward to continually progressing and improving myself and hope to help you find that same excitement.
Therapy is a collaborative process of understanding, untangling, strengthening, and rebuilding when necessary. My role is to walk alongside you, offering insight, tools, and a grounded presence where you can show up exactly as you are.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and practical. I value authenticity, curiosity, and gentle challenge when needed. Together, we explore patterns, emotions, relationships, and life experiences to help you feel more confident, connected, and emotionally steady.
Who I Work With
In my work as Joelle Curtis Wright, LMFT, I support:
Women navigating identity shifts, empowerment, and life transitions
Couples seeking stronger communication and emotional safety
Teens and young adults building resilience and confidence
Individuals working through anxiety, depression, stress, or self-doubt
Many clients come feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns they can’t quite untangle alone. Others come seeking deeper self-understanding and relational growth.
No matter what brings you here, you deserve support that feels safe, respectful, and tailored to you.
Where Things Are Now
At this season of life, my therapy hours are intentionally limited as I prioritize being present with my family. I feel incredibly grateful that I’m still able to practice as Joelle Curtis Wright, LMFT, while also embracing motherhood wholeheartedly.
At this time, I am not currently accepting new clients.
However, if you would like to be added to my waitlist, you are welcome to email: info@evergreeninsightstherapy.com
As availability opens, I reach out in the order inquiries are received.
In addition to my therapy work, I continue sharing insights and reflections through this blog and other platforms. Writing has become another meaningful way I can extend support, encouragement, and perspective beyond the therapy room.
My Philosophy
As Joelle Curtis Wright, I believe:
Growth starts when we feel seen and understood... and we understand ourselves.
Relationships can heal and strengthen.
Self-awareness is transformative.
Small, consistent steps create profound change.
You are capable of more resilience than you may realize.
Most of all, I believe people are not fragile — they are adaptable. Like evergreens, they can endure difficult seasons and still grow.
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
Starting therapy takes courage. Reaching out for support is not weakness — it is strength and self-respect.
Whether you eventually work with me, Joelle Curtis Wright, or simply find encouragement through Evergreen Insights Therapy, I’m honored you’re here.
Thank you for visiting.
Warmly,
Joelle Curtis Wright, MA, LMFT
